Aeropuerto Internacional Augusto C. Sandino

I made it! (but my bag didn't)

This morning I took a 7:30 flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Managua, Nicaragua. This is such a beautiful country. The city is really small and next to a lake and a volcano. Flying in was unreal. There were lots of mountains and trees, but that is about it. Soon I will be off to Big Corn via La Costena airlines. I'm not sure how many seats will be on this plane, but I guess we will see. I should also prolly take some pictures so everyone can see.

Now onto the story of my bag. After arriving and going through customs, I waited at the luggage carousel for 25 min. All of the other bags were gone, and mine wasn't good enough to make the cut. I put in the claim and my contact info. After that I wandered around the airport because I have some time to waste. I decided to go to the Spirit Airlines office. They said they found the luggage but it was still in Florida. It should be on the next plane down which I believe is either Monday or Tuesday. From there they will put it on a different flight to Big Corn and I will have to take the water taxi back over from Little Corn and pick it up. I'm actually kind of happy it didn't make it. Carrying that bag along with my carry on was just a little too heavy. I have enough clothes for a couple days and won't let a little lost luggage ruin my day.

My next post will be full of pictures so you don't have to read. I know I wouldn't want to.
